Microsoft has confirmed that pricing for its commercial Microsoft 365 subscriptions will rise from July 2026, alongside the rollout of new AI driven features across the platform. If you license Microsoft 365 for your team, it is worth understanding what is changing now rather than being surprised at renewal.
What is changing
The increases affect the main commercial plans, and several Copilot and AI capabilities are being folded into existing subscriptions. For some businesses that adds genuine value, for others it means paying for features you may not use yet.
How to prepare
The most common saving we find is simply being on the wrong mix of licences. Many businesses pay for plans that are heavier than they need, or hold licences for people who have left. A quick review before renewal usually pays for itself.
